Fiat of Albuquerque is proud to announce its sponsorship of the NM Italian Film & Culture Festival for a 4th year.

Italian Festivals of New Mexico, a non-profit organization, hosts the event to showcase Italian culture, and its role and influence on fashion, food, art, music, and more on a global scale. Founded in Turin, Italy in 1899, Fiat is a logical choice for inclusion.

The event is also a fundraiser for the University of New Mexico's Children's Hospital, raising more than $230,000 over the last eight years. The festival's Kickoff Celebration will be hosted by Scalo Northern Italian Grill (3500 Central SE), with honorable Italian consulate delegates in attendance.

Seven critically-acclaimed films will be shown during the festival, representing genres of comedy, drama, romance, and science fiction. The selections will be in Italian with English subtitles, and screening at The Guild Cinema (3405 Central Ave NE).

Sunday will see a return of the closing day tradition of a film at the Guild Cinema, followed by a wonderful dinner at Scalo Northern Italian Grill, and a special peek at the new Fiat 500X crossover SUV.

Things to Love About Italy: Food, Film, Art, Fiat!

Fiat of Albuquerque is a Proud Sponsor of the 2015 Italian Film & Culture Festival

Thursday, February 5th kicks off the eighth annual New Mexico Italian Film & Culture Festival with events showcasing the great Italian art, film, and food that can be found around our state. Fiat of Albuquerque is a proud sponsor of the event for the third year running.

This year the festival intends to showcase filmmakers, actors, artists, and musicians of Italian heritage living right here in the Land of Enchantment. As a proudly Italian brand of vehicles- from compact city cars to sporty race cars- we couldn't be more thrilled to support this year's festival.

Attendees of the Italian Film & Culture Festival will enjoy 11 days of film and festivity around Santa Fe and Albuquerque including both contemporary and classic film selections and opening and closing gala events. Throughout the course of the festival, Italian film enthusiasts will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some new Fiat models, which start at just $14,999. Fiats offer 40mpg and have many included features such as Bluetooth, power doors and windows, cruise control, and so much more.

Fiat will have display models out for close viewing at several locations throughout the festival, and at each appearance, we will be giving away free bracelets with vita, amore, risate (that's Italian for "live, love, laugh") printed on them. We kick things off with an appearance on Saturday, February 7th at UNM Children's Hospital at 12:30pm. We keep things rolling on Saturday with a visit to Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe for a showing of the comedy La Serata Rossa. On Sunday, the festival migrates to Albuquerque, where a shiny new Fiat will be in attendance at the opening reception at the Hyatt Regency. Visit us at the Hyatt, and we'll register you to win a free trip to Las Vegas! Join us again on the 15th for the closing reception at Saggio's. In between, we'll keep living la dolce vita with appearances at the Domenici Center on UNM's campus.

Celebrate Italian film, culture, and cars with a visit to Fiat of Albuquerque at the eighth New Mexico Italian Film & Culture Festival! For a complete listing of events and to purchase tickets in advance, visit the festival's website, www.italianfilmfest.org.
